The structural framework to support a mud logging service office container on our client’s platform had become obsolete: a new mud logging service provider proposed to install an alternative type of container, which would not fit the existing framework.
Valaris and the operator approached Enerpro to undertake the engineering work required to modify the existing platform to accommodate the new unit.
Notification of the required change in framework was received just 30 days before mobilisation, thus necessitating a quick turnaround.
Absolute accuracy was required to design and manufacture all required new steelwork which would securely support the dimensions and load of the new container.
· Given the tight timeframe of this project, clear and concise communication was paramount.
· We subcontracted a trusted Enerpro collaborative partner to design the revised platform.
· Enerpro then conceptualised the proposed solution following engagement with the client and mud logging company.
· Our supplier created the conceptual designs for client review, including full technical report and 3D modelling
· Following client approval, draughting drawings and 3D modelling were developed by the subcontractor.
· Enerpro sourced all required materials before fabricating the revised framework on-site.
