Based on Enerpro’s experience and the existing trusted relationship with our client, we were approached to provide a survey and proposal to replace 5 x VSM-300 shale shakers and install 5 x VSM Multi-Sizer shale shakers.
Following our proposal, we successfully installed the 5 triple-layered shale shakers, allowing our client to undertake LCM Recovery operations and carry-out future drilling programmes with the benefit of the advanced technology machines.
Due to a differential in height between existing and replacement shale shakers, we were required to redesign the foundation structure to ensure accurate reconnection with HVAC and feed systems.
We erected scaffolding to destruct room and clean ready for new machines to be installed. Following the redesign foundation structure, we arranged procurement of all materials.
Led by our on-site Construction Supervisor, Enerpro provided all platers, welders, pipefitters, electricians and scaffolders. All required pipework modifications were carried out, with the fabrication of approx. 60m of new, intricate LCM recovery pipework.
Collaboration was key and we worked closely with the shale shaker manufacturers (NOV) to ensure a seamless installation.
1. Technical Precision: Enerpro successfully installed 5 new shale shakers on our in-house designed foundation, with HVAC and feed system connections reused and reinstated.
2. Communication: Throughout the project, our Construction Supervisor managed all manpower and the daily client communications which ensured an efficient outcome, with zero LTIs.
3. Collaboration: It pays to work in close collaboration with project partners, maximising efficient, accurate outcomes. In this case, we engaged regularly with the shaker manufacturer (NOV) service engineers throughout the installation.
4. Safety: Safety is at the heart of all that we do, and reported zero LTIs throughout this project.
